Apartment Block, 1 Rosa Cres.

These apartments are composed of brown-red and brown-peach coloured clay bricks (the colour changes above the first floor). The bond is stretcher and the bricks are a consistant texture and colour. No defects in the brickwork (the apartment block is quite new) although the mortar has a couple of cracks/ inconsistencies (there are not many expansion joints). The mortar is flush with the bricks. It should be noted that the balconies present are made of concrete and at the centre of the apartments these balconies are supported by rendered concrete columns. This does not change the fact that all bricks used serve a structural purpose.
